This Powerful Treatment Completely Cleared Up This Woman’s Skin

Pixel Laser Reston

What’s it like getting your acne lasered off? According to Liz Ritter of New Beauty… while it wasn’t the most enjoyable feel, the payoff was well worth it.

Oftentimes you will read that procedures cause “mild discomfort,” but sometimes with lasers, it is possible to have a stronger reaction. Although Ritter says it was painful at times, she can’t recommend the procedure enough.

Can’t Recommend It Enough

If that seems like an odd reaction, consider that it cleared up 70 percent of her acne, scarring and pigmentation issues with just one session.

If that’s not a strong testimonial for the procedure, it’s hard to say what would qualify.

The fact of the matter is, acne can be such a large self-esteem issue for individuals that dealing with strong, but temporary pain, is certainly worth it.

How the Laser Works

So how does the laser work? Well, like any skin rejuvenation procedure really. Lasers produce ‘precise damage’ in the skin that stimulates collagen production.

The top layer of the skin is partially removed, but the rest of the skin is left alone. What’s left rapidly heals, producing collagen for up to six months after treatment.

Thus, your skin is rejuvenated, and a number of concerns such as wrinkles, sun damage, melasma, and hyperpigmentation can be corrected with these lasers.

So you may find yourself in a similar situation to Ms. Ritter. Given the wide range of skin concerns treated by Pixel lasers, it’s entirely plausible it could help you reach your aesthetic goals.

Of course, Pixel lasers are just one of many skin rejuvenation options offered at Integrated Dermatology of Reston. For milder skin concerns, one might consider IPL or Microneedling.

If you do decide to go with a Pixel laser, you might also find relief knowing the relative rarity of Ritter’s reaction to the laser. Most patients do in fact report mild discomfort at most!
